Welcome to Senior Care Pharmacy of Indiana. Senior Care Pharmacy began operation in 2008 with the mission to provide quality pharmacy services to skilled nursing homes, assisted living communities, residential homes and hospice agencies. To support this endeavor, we have implemented advanced technology systems to improve care quality and safety, while also strengthening our process efficiencies. In addition, Senior Care Pharmacy understands the importance of customer service. We have structured our resources around the needs of the long-term care residents and families, as well as the healthcare providers we serve.
Our focus on technology is second to none. We have established relationships with industry leaders to provide advanced technology systems to improve efficiencies and quality assurance standards within the pharmacy and for the healthcare provider. For the pharmacy, this allows us to get the right medication in the right dose to the right patient at the right time. For the facility, these technologies reduce medication errors and allow the healthcare staff to spend more time providing quality patient care, instead of managing administrative paperwork.  Ron Luken, R.Ph., MBA
Executive Director of Pharmacy
Ron joined Senior Care Pharmacy in early 2008 and presided over the opening of the Indiana operation. He has assembled a select team of seasoned professionals with over 140 years of combined experience in providing long-term care service. Their understanding of the unique needs of seniors, in the long-term care setting, led to the selection of proven technologies to provide the highest quality of clinical support and operational efficiency. Ron leads a staff that has an abiding commitment to service for the residents and those who care for them.
Ron has over 15 years of management experience in long-term care, as well as extensive operational and administrative management experience in retail chain drug operations. During his long-term care career, he has served multiple terms on Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committees, the Human Resources Task Force, and as a Preceptor for the Butler University College of Pharmacy. He is a member of the Indiana Pharmacists Alliance and the American Society of Consultant Pharmacists. Ron is also past-Board President of the Adult and Child Center.
In addition to his work, Ron is a devoted husband to Joan, his wife of 33 years. He is the father of three children, and grandfather to five. He and his wife are actively involved in their church community. They are avid travelers and enjoy bicycling for recreation.
