Senior Care Pharmacy
Tuscaloosa, AL
Senior Care Pharmacy has been providing quality pharmacy and consulting services to long-term care facilities since 1981. Even with the continuous changes in the industry’s regulations and reimbursement, Senior Care Pharmacy has maintained a high level of service.
Senior Care Pharmacy provides services throughout the state of Alabama. Our team works very hard to provide the best possible service to our customers. Our pricing is competitive with other pharmacies that offer similar services.
We specialize in providing for the needs of long term care residents, which means our pharmacists attend and participate in educational programs addressing medication usage in elderly residents. Our pharmacists monitor residents’ profiles for drug interactions, and provide updates to nurses and physicians.
Our billing office staff works with the bookkeepers at each facility to obtain proper billing information upon admission of a new resident. At Senior Care Pharmacy, we know that pharmacy bills can add up quickly, and by billing third party insurances and assisting in obtaining prior authorizations, we can help with these bills.
Each Senior Care Pharmacy consultant works diligently to help each facility in compliance with state and federal regulations. The time your consultant spends in the facility is a very valuable service. Each month, the pharmacist performs a drug regimen review, looks for documentation and transcription errors, destroys discontinued medications, and other tasks related to pharmacy. Our LPNs and technicians also visit on a regular basis to perform med passes and check documentation.
